a playful improvisation with AI

Have you always wanted to decide where the play you're about to see is set? Have you always wanted to see a character with this one name on stage pursuing this one goal? Then PL[AI] is exactly the right production for you. Because without the audience deciding which characters appear and where the play takes place, nothing happens at all. With these decisions, an AI then creates a new play text scene by scene according to the characters. This text is then shown to the actors on stage as soon as it is created and they have to start acting immediately. No one at the tjg. knows in advance what is about to happen on stage. The play is created while the audience is already sitting in the auditorium, so every performance is also a world premiere. Anything is possible, whether vampires in the jungle, a group of friends on a moon expedition, Romeo and Juliet in the Wild West or Faust and Mephisto in a sitcom. The limit is where your imagination stops.
Director Helen Rekkor stages this declaration of love for acting and storytelling using one of the most lively means available on stage: improvisation. Only seconds elapse between the first reading of the text and playing the scene in front of the audience. A challenge for the ensemble and great entertainment for the audience.
