Lucrecia Dalt, born in Pereira, Colombia, has carved out a distinctive place for herself in contemporary music.

After her first recordings were released through the Colombian collective Series, Dalt contributed to the compilation 4 Women No Cry on the Monika Enterprise label in 2008 - her entry into the international music scene. After moving from Medellín to Barcelona and Berlin, her sound increasingly developed in abstract directions.

Now Dalt returns with A Danger to Ourselves, her most personal and sonically ambitious work to date. The album was created from fragmentary notes that Dalt wrote down while on tour and in the early days of a new relationship - intimate thoughts that she transformed into musical compositions in January 2024.

Working closely with percussionist Alex Lázaro, Dalt developed pieces whose musicality emerges from the interplay of bass lines, beats and textural details. Sonically, the album unfolds like a deeply personal conversation: Dalt's voice - haunting and powerful - is at the forefront, carried by a mixture of acoustic orchestration and electronic processing, collaged percussion patterns and an esteemed circle of contributors.

Jonathan Castro (Lima, PE) is a Rotterdam-based graphic designer and multidisciplinary artist working in sound, video, installation and performance. In 2023 he released Radiance Loops, a collection of field recordings recorded in post-industrial and abandoned areas between Amsterdam and Lima, developed in parallel to a collaborative fashion project with Edwin Europe.
