Pankower Kulturgespräche #7: Harald Hauswald

The Kulturforum Berlin Nordost e. V. and Glashaus e. V. have been organizing the series "Pankower Kulturgespräche" since January 2025. Dr. Andreas Bossmann introduces a guest from the cultural and film scene in a talk. In relation to the guest's life and artistic work, a film with which the guest has a special relationship will then be shown in the Brotfabrik cinema.

The guest at the 7th Pankow Cultural Talk is Harald Hauswald (born 1954), who is one of the most important contemporary photographers with his unvarnished photographs of everyday life and Berlin before and after reunification. He is a co-founder of the Ostkreuz photo agency.

Afterwards, the film "Easy Rider" (USA 1969) by Dennis Hopper will be shown. In this cult film, the director tells the story of two young motorcycle rebels who are killed while riding through the USA. In addition to the magnificent images of landscapes, the film music is a carrier of meaning in its own right. The leading roles are played by Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper.
