Ein Ort der Poesie: Anderland 7

At "Anderland", Cologne's poetry festival, poetry is the focus of the evening. This time, Mara Genschel, Anja Kampmann and Nasima Sophia Razizadeh will be our guests in the city library.

Mara Genschel, born in Bonn, lives in Berlin and works on the performative dimension of literature in countless publications and interdisciplinary projects. She was a fellow of the International Writing Program (Iowa) and the International Writer's Workshop (Hong Kong), among others, and was awarded a work grant from the German Literature Fund. In 2022, she upset the jury of the Bachmann Prize with her performance. Her most recent publications include "Midlife-Prosa" (Engeler 2024), "Das narzisstische Skript" (text + kritik 2025) and a regular commentary in SWR Kultur. She has also been teaching at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne since fall 2024.

Anja Kampmann was born in Hamburg in 1983. She studied at the University of Hamburg and the German Literature Institute in Leipzig. She made her debut with Hanser with the poetry collection "Proben von Stein und Licht" (Lyrik Kabinett, 2016). Her first novel, Wie hoch die Wasser steigen (2018), has been translated many times, was nominated for the Leipzig Book Fair Prize and the German Book Prize and was a finalist for the National Book Award in the USA. In 2021, the poetry collection "Der Hund ist immer hungrig" was published, which was awarded the Günter Kunert Literature Prize for Poetry. This was followed in 2025 by the novel "Die Wut ist ein heller Stern". She received the Marie Luise Kaschnitz Prize for her works in 2024.

Nasima Sophia Razizadeh, born in Frankfurt am Main in 1991, is a poet. Her debut "Sprache und Meer" was published by Matthes & Seitz Berlin / Rohstoff in 2023. This was followed by the poetry collections "Die Goldwaage" (2024) and "Entschwebung" (2026) published by Wallstein Verlag. She currently lives in Cologne.

The event is being held in cooperation with the Literatur-in-Köln Archiv (LiK), the Bittner bookshop and the Institute for German Language and Literature I at the University of Cologne.
