35 literary stories this time with Karin Krauthausen

Together with Karin Krauthausen and the protagonist Jäcki, we set off in search of the jungle in Hubert Fichte's "Explosion" at the end of April.

Karin Krauthausen is a literary and cultural scholar. She researches the history of culture, media and science at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. She has published anthologies with colleagues from the natural sciences and humanities, including "Make it real. Für einen strukturalen Realismus" (2020), "Active Materials" (2021), "Modell Hütte" (2021) and "Model and Mathematics" (2022). Most recently, the anthology "Agriculture and Literature" (2025), which she co-edited with Stephan Kammer, was published. In the summer semester 2026, she is a fellow at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne.

Our Wednesday ritual enters its second round!

Last year, the Academy of Media Arts turned 35 years old. To celebrate this, we have teamed up with the KHM's Literary Writing program and are now having lunch with books. Every other Wednesday, we invite authors from the region and beyond to present a book that has particularly influenced them. Our "Lunch Lectures" are intended as short and personal journeys through the literary history of the last 70 years, for which we take just under three quarters of an hour each. From eternal classics to almost forgotten treasures, everything imaginable is included. There will also be sandwiches, chairs and fruit. We look forward to seeing you!
