Käte im Gespräch mit Morgaine Prinz über ihr Buch "Madonna mia! Moderne Musen und weibliche Wut"

Evening of the Feminist Book Week 2026

"I think we really have bigger problems to solve than your problems with so-called 'female rage' [...]. Please, mouse, let me be angry."

For Morgaine Prinz, feminism means demanding equal rights and standing shoulder to shoulder with other people who suffer under patriarchal structures. With "Madonna Mia! Modern muses & "female" rage", she gives this understanding an artistic guise, and true to this view, not as a lone fighter, but in collaboration with others. The book, which was produced following an exhibition, combines written and visual art, collages, paintings, poetry slam texts and a glossary of key feminist terms.

Since the end of 2019, Morgaine Prinz has been regularly reading her way into the hearts and, above all, under the skin of her audience with her authentic stories and precise observations, without forgetting her sense for well-placed smiles. Within a very short time, she became one of the most sought-after poets in the country and has already successfully competed in several championships. In 2023, she organized the NRW championship in Krefeld and founded the Musenkollektiv - a queerfeminist event team for poetry slam, comedy and cabaret formats in and around Düsseldorf. Since 2020, she has also been making analog collages, which are often dedicated to feminist themes.

Käte is a poetry slammer and presenter from Cologne and has been passionate about performing on stage since 2019. In her art (surprise) she often deals with topics that move her personally, when she doesn't feel the need to give her feminist mustard to socio-political issues. Her lyrics are loud, direct and sometimes uncomfortable, but never without empathy and that fine pinch of self-irony. She has been organizing and hosting cabaret events in Saarland and Cologne since 2023.
