The Paula Steimer Quintet brings five great Cologne jazz musicians to the stage. With Jakob Görris on drums, Béla Bluche on double bass, Philip Weyand on piano, Frederik Hesse on trumpet and Paula Steimer on saxophone, the audience experiences wonderful moments of inspiration.
A varied program is played, consisting mainly of compositions by the band leader. These have a very close connection to various situations in life that everyone has probably experienced at some point. This means that during a concert with the Paula Steimer Quintet, listeners can perceive the same music, remember completely different situations and still have a strong feeling of connection.
With the Paula Steimer Quintett, the Saarland native received the Carl Richard-Dörken Performance Scholarship in September 2024, in November she won the Open Sky Competition in Wuppertal with the band and in December 2025 the quintet became part of the Young Jazz Ahead of the Minden Jazz Club.
