Peterchens Mondfahrt mit Anneliese

Once upon a time, a mean wood thief cut down the birch tree in which the cockchafer Mr. Sumsemann was sitting. The night fairy saw this and banished the wood thief with the stolen birch tree to the moon. However, one of Mr. Sumsemann's legs was still attached to the birch tree and it has been there ever since. Quite a lot for a cockchafer!

That's why Mr. Sumsemann is looking for two children who have never tortured an animal before to help him get back his lost sixth leg - Peter and Anneliese have to help! The two are not daunted by the task and travel with the friendly cockchafer through the cosmos to the Night Fairy. They meet the Sandman and a very proper soldier who guards the moon cannon, until they finally come face to face with the predatory Moon Man.

Since 1921, Gerdt von Bassewitz's poetic fairy tale, in which the adventure can only be overcome together, has enchanted entire generations. Philipp Löhle turns it into a fast-paced and imaginative excursion through the night sky.
