Nazi image propaganda specifically devalued and dehumanized people who were persecuted as Jewish. Anti-Semitic depictions can be seen as exhibits in many museums today. Nazi memorial sites are faced with the challenge of explaining the typification of people under National Socialism without reproducing stereotypes themselves.

Dr. Angelika Königseder (Centre for Research on Anti-Semitism at the TU Berlin) will talk about the visual impact of anti-Semitism and present strategies for displaying it using examples from the permanent exhibition of the NS-DOK and her own curatorial practice.
