A themed evening on single-family homes addresses these questions from different perspectives in three current publications:

Das große Ziel: ein kleines Haus examines the background to the success story of the single-family home using approachable and colorful home stories in the magazine Schöner Wohnen and provides a critical examination of the single-family home boom in the West German economic miracle years. Life outside the city. Single-family houses as spaces of opportunity documents the research project "Living outside the city" and discovers the hidden opportunities in existing single-family house areas. With concrete examples and forward-looking ideas, it invites municipalities, planners, architects and residents to rethink the single-family home as a vibrant space of opportunity. Home Sweet Home: How the detached house can save the climate and solve the housing issue poses the question of how this type of house can become part of the solution in view of the climate crisis, demographic change and housing shortage.
