You can expect 10 days full of exciting events that invite you to immerse yourself in the film landscape from and about Turkey.
This year we can look forward to many guests from the Turkish film industry, including the renowned Turkish actress Nur Sürer.

A poetic docudrama that follows Cengiz, a shepherd of small stature who lives in the highlands of the Turkish Black Sea coast. The film begins with the birth of a goat and ends a year later with the birth of her own kid - a silent, timeless cycle. However, it is not just the story of the herd of goats - it is above all the story of Cengiz himself. While the other two protagonists in the film look after the herd for profit, Cengiz lives a life outside the boundaries of economics, society and time. Every year, the same cycle repeats itself for him - untouched by money, ambition or social expectations. Over time, Cengiz becomes part of nature - he is Goat 501. Shot over a three-year period, GOAT 501 invites viewers to experience the rhythm of nature, where silence, simplicity and deep connection replace conventional storytelling.

Türkiye'nin Doğu Karadeniz yaylalarında yaşayan yalnız bir çoban olan Cengiz'i izleyen bu şiirsel belgesel-drama, zamansız bir döngünün içine davet ediyor. Film, bir keçinin doğumuyla başlar ve bir yıl sonra aynı keçinin yavrusunu dünyaya getirmesiyle sona erer. Ancak anlatılan yalnızca bir sürünün hikâyesi değildir. Film, asıl olarak Cengiz'in yaşamına odaklanır. Sürünün bakımını ekonomik kazanç gözeterek üstlenen diğer iki karakterin aksine Cengiz, para, toplum ve zaman kavramlarının sınırlarının dışında bir hayat sürer. Onun için her yıl aynı ritimle tekrar eder; hırs, beklenti ya da mülkiyet bu döngüye dâhil değildir.
Zamanla Cengiz doğanın bir parçasına dönüşür. Sessizlik, sade bir varoluş ve derin bir bağlılılık içinde, insan ile hayvan arasındaki sınır silikleşir: Cengiz, 501 numaralı keçidir. Üç yıla yayılan çekim süreciyle KEÇİ 501, izleyiciyi doğanın ritmine kulak vermeye çağıran, alışılmış anlatı kalıplarını geride bırakan sakin ve yoğun bir deneyim sunar.
