Give us a crystal ball! And preferably someone who knows how to use one, because: As this text is being written, we are in the middle of gray November 2025. We have been reading and hearing about this young Hamburg artist for some time now, marveling at several million clicks on all streaming platforms, a successful tour, two released albums and asking ourselves: If it's all going so incredibly fast, what's happening in 2026 when he comes to us in Jena? We're talking about him, Marlo Grosshardt and his skillful movement between pop, poetry and provocation!

Why all the fuss? It's as simple as it is ingenious: Marlo Grosshardt sings wonderfully provocatively about the world around him. The 23-year-old from Hamburg packs astute observations and subtle social criticism into a rough but thoroughly charismatic pop guise and skillfully packs his powerful voice on top. The result is nostalgic melodies and honest lyrics that stay in your head.

The first albums Ein letztes Liebeslied and Mut conquered the singer-songwriter world in 2023 and 2024. The works, so dramatically beautiful and equipped with a dystopian view of the present, are dedicated, among other things, to the romantic end of the world and leave behind a bittersweet trace of rebellion for the time being. With "Jungfernstieg" or "Christian Lindner", Marlo strikes a chord with his generation, perhaps even across generations. Songs like "Astronaut" or "Ein letztes Liebeslied" go viral.

Not to mention streams, clicks and viral videos: We are excited about this great artist and look forward to seeing Marlo Grosshardt show attitude without preaching!

All empty. And yet full. Full of sympathy, energy, calm and charm. Have you ever been there? As the gateway to East Frisia, it seems to be a really good spot: Maritime flair, a picturesque old town, countless castles, lively small-town warmth, chic brick facades complete with an embedded harbor and the famous East Frisian tea culture are all at home here and combine effortlessly with wonderful serenity. No wonder that Enno Bunger, a child of this city, could be described in the same way: likeable, energetic, calm and charming. But there is more to say.

The singer, pianist, composer, producer and songwriter has developed into a distinctive voice in German-language songwriting in recent years. This categorization is not without reason: his profile simply stands out. Bunger combines introspective piano ballads with modern production, electronic elements and pointed, often deeply moving lyrics. Somewhere between pop, indie, folk, electronica and spoken word, he creates something quite wonderful - music that is both personal and socially relevant.

The fact that he originally worked as a bar pianist and organist is at least as cool as the reports of his performances throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland! Witnesses speak of a steadily growing audience and one of the most intense German-speaking performers of his generation: focused, approachable, emotionally precise.

With his fifth album Der beste Verlierer (The Best Loser), he has further sharpened his role as an artist who translates current crises, personal vulnerability and political observations into a poetic, empathetic language. One could be forgiven for thinking that his songs could well accompany you through life as emotional milestones. He leaves one of them in Jena.
