A clip that hits the right nerve can go viral in no time at all, touching people all over the world and setting an avalanche-like career in motion. Social media platforms are becoming a global catapult for new talent - a great opportunity! Easy game? Not really. The way to the top may have been harder in the past. Getting to the top, and staying there, is probably the harder bit of work today with all the fast pace and competition.

A fascinating young musician from Brazil has mastered this with flying colors and is clearly grateful for the opportunities offered by global networking. After Mari Froes shared a cover version of Figa de Guiné - a veritable anthem for the Brazilian soccer nation - it happened. The recording went viral, racking up 72 million views in a short space of time and giving a stage to one of the most exciting new voices in the singer-songwriter world. So there it was, the door opener. And now? After all, the stage has to be entered and filled! What follows are touching original compositions in the style of Brazilian pop music with elements of bossa nova, samba and jazz. A short time later, a spectacular version of Vaitimbor was created with the French DJ duo Trinix, which became a worldwide hit and has long been a superstar in Brazil. This quickly spread to other parts of the world: All kinds of live performances in Europe followed, including her first headlining European tour last year. Now she is returning in 2026 for an extensive festival tour - with her poetic lightness, a keen sense of touch and the rhythmic radiance that make her music so unmistakable.
